Living on the Offense and Taking Spiritual Ground
I want to use the wisdom and strategies I learned from my own experiences to help others avoid unnecessary pain. I have found that we are constantly on the defense in this life, especially as believers. God is wanting to teach us how to live life on the offense. He is offering us an opportunity to be on the offense, stepping over traps before they even come our way, providing us strategy and wisdom of how to handle a bad situation before it even arises, and teaching us about the weapons we have at our disposal, how to use them, and when to use them.God doesn’t expect us to just fight battles, but to win battles! It is our time to take back spiritual ground!

Spiritual bondage refers to the strongholds in our lives that bind us from doing all that God has called us to do. Many of you are bound in spiritual chains, hindering you from running your race. You may be slowly moving forward, but you are barely taking ground in your life. Your faith is wavering. Your strength is waning. You may feel as if every step you take is met with opposition, discouragement, or disappointment. Does this sound like you? Those chains are weighing us down, keeping us from fully walking the path God designed for each of us to walk. Those chains could be insecurity, addiction, depression, hate, bitterness, fear, etc. With these chains bound to us, it automatically causes resistance. Imagine trying to fight against these vulnerable areas with chains around you, but the chains are leaving these defensive marks. The more you resist and fight, the more discomfort, wounds, maybe even pain you feel. We are left with defense wounds from attacks that we could avoid. It is not that the attacks will not come, friends. But I believe God is offering a different path. A path where He can bring healing to our deep wounds. A path where He can bring freedom from strongholds. A path where He can tell us where the traps are and we can step right over them. He can provide wise strategies before we come face to face with difficult circumstances. He can teach us what spiritual weapons to use and when to use them, to not only fight battles, but win battles! And this is how we can live free to do all that God has created us for.

Spiritual freedom begins to take place when we allow God to expose vulnerable areas in our lives, bringing them to light, breaking the hold it has over us. When released, we will begin running faster and further on our spiritual walk. We can be free to advance forward, taking more spiritual ground. We can take back ground in our family, in our finances, in our hearts, in our workplaces, in our churches! Let’s not give the devil one inch. Let’s make the decision today to allow God to expose vulnerable areas, break us free of chains bound to us, and walk in freedom and healing.
