״I believe God is offering a different path. A path where He can bring healing to our deep wounds. A path where He can bring freedom from strongholds. A path where He can tell us where the traps are and we can step right over them. He can provide wise strategies before we come face to face with difficult circumstances. He can teach us what spiritual weapons to use and when to use them, to not only fight battles, but win battles! And this is how we can live free to do all that God has created us for."

Matthew 22:37 “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’”
Many years ago, when I was a teenager, my youth group traveled to Winterjam every year with my youth pastors and leaders! At this time, I was still learning who God was. I didn't even know this type of Christian music could be enjoyable. I remember the van rides building relationships with other teens on fire for God. I resonated with the message the speaker would present each year. And of course the music touched my soul!
Fast forward 20 years later, I am one of the youth leaders taking teenagers to Winterjam! As I drove a car full of sleeping teens home, I begin to reflect on a powerful night of worship! The teens were goofy, playful, borderline annoying, loud, and just non stop! But what stood out was their love for me. They wanted my attention, they wanted me to watch their every move. They wanted me to be an apart of every experience they had! I was able to relate to God as a parent. I have no children of my own, but I just kept thinking how much these kids love me and love to be around me. And I just couldn’t wait to experience this with my children.
Then, God showed me this is His heart for each of us. He wants to be loved by us. I think we talk about how much God loves us and how much He wants us to receive His love. So true! But it was clear that God wanted our love toward Him! Matthew 22:37 says, “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Our Heavenly Father wants us to want to spend time with Him! He wants us to love Him as He loves us! At one point, I had both my hands lifted high and I just felt like a child, wanting to be lifted by my daddy! My friends, our Heavenly Father is reaching down his hands waiting to lift us up to Him. He wants to hold us oh so close! What a sweet moment! I’m praying sweet friends that you each can experience His love but I’m also praying that you reflect that love back to Him! Let's love God back!
