״I believe God is offering a different path. A path where He can bring healing to our deep wounds. A path where He can bring freedom from strongholds. A path where He can tell us where the traps are and we can step right over them. He can provide wise strategies before we come face to face with difficult circumstances. He can teach us what spiritual weapons to use and when to use them, to not only fight battles, but win battles! And this is how we can live free to do all that God has created us for."

Matthew 6:33 (NIV) "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
When Jesus told us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” He was calling us to make God our highest pursuit—not just seeking blessings, but seeking a life aligned with His will.
As I reflected on this verse, one word stood out: righteousness—living the way God intended, walking according to His commands, and choosing what honors Him. Luke 1:6 tells us Elizabeth and Zechariah “were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord.”
They weren’t perfect, but they lived above reproach. Their “right living” came from letting go of their own way and embracing God’s way. This is the very concept Matthew 6:33 touches on... "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." God will align our lives as He sees fit when we seek Him first.
This is the same call for us today: to walk in purity, humility, compassion, faithfulness, and love—not through our own strength, but through the Spirit’s leading. Walking blamelessly doesn’t mean sinless perfection; it means making daily choices that align with God’s Word, resisting the pull of the world, and living set apart.
The way of righteousness is not the easy path. Jesus called it the narrow road—the one few choose (Matthew 7:14). It is hard, often uncomfortable, and sometimes lonely. But it is worth it, because it leads to life and eternal reward. The good news? God never asks us to walk it alone. His Spirit equips us, His grace carries us, and His presence goes with us every step of the way.
Personal Application:
Where in your life do you need to let go of your way and embrace God’s way so you can walk blamelessly in His righteousness?
The narrow road may be difficult, but it is worth it—because God walks it with you.
Prayer:
Lord, I want to walk in Your righteousness. Teach me to let go of my own plans and choose Your ways, even when it’s hard. Give me the wisdom, strength, and grace to live set apart, and help me to keep my eyes fixed on You every step of the way. Amen.
