Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG) “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.”

The Peace of God can allow us to walk our path, completing the purposes and assignments God has given us, successfully. The Hebrew word for peace, Shalom, is not about having a quiet life or the absence of conflict. Instead shalom, peace, is the result of right relationship with God, one another, and with creation. The concept of peace is wholeness in all of life.

True peace is not found when life is quiet or when everything is going your way. Peace is found in Jesus Christ—He is our peace. When we step into Him, we step into wholeness and completeness.

Peace is not:

  • Things going “right.”

  • Staying calm or quiet.

  • Accepting life as it is.

Peace is:

  • Being engulfed in who God is.

  • Becoming whole in His presence.

  • Walking in the fullness of Christ.

Personal Application:

Ask yourself: Where am I confusing peace with comfort?

Know God, Know Peace. If we want to experience peace in our lives, we have to experience Jesus.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that peace is found in You. Help me to step into Your wholeness and not settle for a shallow version of peace. Amen.
